Direct And Vendor Asset Finance
Asset finance can be delivered in two different ways, through direct asset finance or vendor asset finance.
Direct Asset Finance - This type of delivery comes through financial institutions such as specialist financiers, banks and brokering services. The finance is arranged separately from the supplier or vendor of the asset.
Vendor Asset Finance - This is when the manufacturer or vendor of an asset offers a finance option as an alternative to buying the asset with a lump sum payment. This can be a convenient way to arrange finance if you have already established a business relationship with the vendor.
Making use of asset finance can be very useful from a budgeting standpoint. It allows your firm to budget for the monthly payments rather than a large one-off payment. You can receive the benefits gained from utilising the asset before it is fully paid for.
There are also tax benefits to using asset finance. In general operating lease payments are fully tax deductible and can be made with pre-tax money. When buying an asset through a lump sum payment, taxed money has to be used.
